Management not trustworthy.

Do not hire this company.
My quote was for $2100 but ending up over $4000.
Their slick manager convinced me to drop Silver Van Lines and go with Run Van Lines. He badmouthed Silver saying they just got their license reinstated. He promised they would not go over my quote.
But they did what they said would not happen.
The workers was professional, but the foreman was very dishonest.
At the end of the move, he went over the bill. And to my surprise my bill was doubled. He stated the extra cost was for packing supplies.
What am I suppose to do about, tell them to unpack the truck.
These guys know they got leverage over you.
Mike at the storage facility was very unprofessional over the phone
when collecting the storage fees.
When it got delivered, items were damaged beyond repair.
I had to replace two bookshelves, end table, lamps.
I had to repair my mattress support, it was broken in half.
I would never use this company again.
I would advise anyone to look somewhere else.

Long-distance move from California to Maryland

Run Van Lines/Alliance Express.

I filed a complaint with the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Santa Clara County District Attorney's Consumer Affairs Department against Alliance Express and Run Van Lines after they tried to extort money from me, and because they did not provide the services that I had contracted for.

Alliance Express (Vilma Monzon)had given me a quote of $3777.00 to pick-up and transport my furniture from San Jose, California to Baltimore, Maryland. Alliance Express never mentioned they were a broker.. so on the day of the move, Run Van Lines shows up and took some of my furniture but left behind the bedroom and upstairs furniture. They were suppose to return to pick-up the remaining furniture. Instead, I get a phone call from Alliance Express (Tony Unzo) and Run Van Lines demanding an additional $5,0000 to complete the job. Alliance claimed their sales agent (Vilma Monzon)had given me too low of a quote and wanted more money. I asked them to return my furniture and they refused. They wanted me to wire $5,000 to an disclosed bank account. I taped recorded the conversation for evidence. They held my furniture hostage from August 2, 2011 until September 14 2011. Santa Clara District Attorney's Office was able to get my furniture back, but I had to pay an additional $200.00 to retrieve my furniture from storage and sign a waiver before they would release my furniture which is illegal!

Also note, Ms. Monzon had promised two months of storage and said the quote was based on the number of pieces. DOT said the quote should have been based on weight and they were in violation.

Lastly, I had my $770.00 deposit from American Express cancelled. I discovered that Alliance Express had committed fraud by signing my name to documents they had forwarded to American Express.

I would never use or recommend Alliance Express or Run Van Lines!

Long-distance move from Nevada to Massachusetts

Transportation.

Run Van lines has no integrety, no communication, not honest. The will tell you they can deliver when you asked. Then once they have your furniture your stress level is elevated. They have your furniture, your stuck. I would never use them again. Actually I'd call INS, I think most are illegal.
They talk very broken english and don't return calls. We asked for a pickup on a certain date. They said yes no problem. Actually showed up and did a good job packing. Then supposed to deliver on 2weeks later. It took 21 days beyond the date they said they'd deliver. I WOULD NEVER HIRED THEM. Please use a national company.
